CHCTDC provides technical support to small start-ups and businesses within the District as a part of the District of Columbia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Small Business Technical Assistance program.

Since 2009, CHCTDC has been helping local small businesses set and achieve goals by meeting business owners at their specific business stage — Start, Grow, Expand, and Transition. The services which are derived from the stages (Start, Grow, Expand, and Transition) of business include but are not limited to the following:

• Navigating the District’s regulations and business plan development the District’s regulations and business plan development
• Marketing, federal license support, contract management, and other back-office guidance support
• Business expansion through knowledge surrounding financial capital options
• Succession planning, selling support, or closing processes
