The transit-oriented development is adjacent to the Congress Heights Metro Station and the new Bard High School Early College, with easy access to public transportation and the Entertainment & Sports Arena.

Congress Heights School

Congress Heights School is a state-of-the-art school located in DC. The school was built on a vacant and dilapidated property that had been left in disrepair for 27 years. The project involved a ground lease of 3100 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and over $30 million in renovations, giving new life to the building. The UDC’s community college consolidated its programs at the site, providing much-needed education and training opportunities to the Congress Heights community. Recent projects such as the Residences at Congress Heights and the Entertainment & Sports Arena have been undertaken to revitalize the neighborhood, and the Congress Heights School has the potential to provide economic opportunities for the community.
