Housing Assistance
For the past twenty-five years, CHCTDC’s mission was to create better communities, we established a Real Estate Development Department to provide comprehensive housing counseling, training, advocacy, and affordable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income home buyers, tenants, and homeowners in DC, more specifically communities East of the Anacostia River.
This department has multiple goals and objectives built-in which are all to the benefit of DC residents. One main goal is to reduce and prevent homelessness while increasing sustainable housing opportunities by providing the skills, motivation and empowerment necessary within families and communities. At CHCTDC, we believe it is very important to develop the individual and group capacity to achieve economic, physical, and social development of homes and neighborhoods.
Our team of expert housing counselors provides one-on-one counseling assistance to help clients achieve their goals in the housing market.
